Placement is finite, and here is the arithmetic

There are 5 slots in the home page rotation and one at the top of each of the 30 market pages. That is the entire supply, and it does not grow when another company joins. Bureau buys 4 booked weeks in one market, not a permanent position, so the inventory can carry about 455 Bureau memberships before weeks run short. When a market is full the next booking waits for a date rather than crowding the page.

What no amount of money buys

Identity checked is a check: the company is real, registered under the name it trades as, and controls its domain. It comes with membership because it is work done on request. It says nothing about whether anyone got their keys.

Verified is a judgement. A desk has read the filings, the escrow statements and the completion evidence and formed a view on whether the company handed over when it said it would. It cannot be applied for, it is in no tier, and it has been withdrawn before.

  • The Verified badge, or any movement on your delivery record
  • The yield, on-time or completion figures on your page
  • Removal or softening of anything the desk has published about you
  • Editorial coverage, or a say in what gets written
  • An unlabelled placement anywhere on the site
